The Cleveland Browns quarterback carousel continued today as they have acquired the second player at that position in less than a week. Recently cut Jake Delhomme has reportedly agreed to a 2-year contract with the Browns.
Delhomme’s agent Rick Smith said the veteran quarterback would be continuing his career with the Browns. He also said that Delhoome would sign his contract before the team begins their off season conditioning program.
Delhomme is the fourth quarterback on the roster that includes holdovers Brady Quinn, Brett Ratliff and the recently acquired Seneca Wallace. Many deep thinkers in the league think that Quinn will be traded before the draft.

Without a doubt, in my opinion, a case of a team making a bad personnel decision, according to the Associated Press, the Charlotte Hornets have signed veteran guard Larry Hughes to a contract, replacing Flip Murray, who was traded to the Chicago Bulls last month.
Interestingly enough, the Bobcats said that they would have signed Hughes earlier this month, but at that time, Hughes was suffering from a broken finger. The finger has since healed, and he is now officially a Bobcat.

A well rested LeBron James took the floor for the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday night as they faced the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wachovia Center. The “Chosen One” had not played since the previous Friday after tweaking his right ankle against the Detroit Pistons. The time off seemed to have done the Cleveland All-Star forward a lot of good as he recorded a double-double including a team high 23 points and the Cavaliers defeated the Sixers 100-95. Andre Iguodala led all players with 30 points but it was not enough to secure the victory. LBJ has now had double-doubles in 26 games for the Cavaliers in this campaign; Mo Williams also came up big with 21 points in the win for Cleveland.

Usually it is the game of both teams on the floor that dictate the winner and loser – usually. During Friday night’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns, it would be the actions of Suns coach Alvin Gentry that would help Los Angeles rally and defeat Phoenix 102-96 at US Airways Center.
Gentry argued loudly to an official, claiming that Louis Amundson was fouled flagrantly. He would be ejected and had to be restrained by his assistant coaches. But prior to that incident, both teams played competitively.

Newly signed Redskins RB Larry Johnson had a turbulent 2009… he turned 30, changed teams mid-season, went from a starter in KC to a backup for Cedric Besnon in Cincinnati who went on to have a breakout year, and Johnson for the first time in his career failed to get into the endzone.
From Johnson’s NFL Career Stats:

I’m going to be as optimistic as I can right now, so the good news is that in the latter half of the season when Johnson joined Cincy, he finally got a taste of what it’s like to run behind a good offensive line and regain some confidence. And even though he got minimal touches due to Benson’s major success as the featured back, Johnson ran consistently better behind their top 10 run blocking o-line.
This is a preview of

“Sports Illustrated” has reported that Minnesota Timberwolves big man Darko Milicic still has every intention of playing next season in the Euro-Leagues despite increased plating time since he was traded to the T-Wolves last month. Minnesota head coach Kurt Rambis has also praised Milicic as a player with a huge upside; however he told the magazine that he was sticking with the decision he made earlier this season.
