You can probably count on both of your hands the number of times that Kobe Bryant has scored the game-winning basket and saved the Los Angeles Lakers from the jaws of defeat.
As it would turn out, Bryant would help the Lakers rally from a deficit and drain the game-winning basket with 1.9 seconds left, snapping Los Angeles 3-game losing streak and nipping the Toronto Raptors 109-107 at Staples Center.

Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut recorded a double-double including a game high 25 points Tuesday night as the Bucks rallied in the fourth quarter and defeated the Boston Celtics 86-84. The Bucks would score their last points of the night with 2:42 left to play as rookie Brandon Jennings knocked down a shot six feet from the hoop to give his team an 86-79 lead. Milwaukee was then able to shut the Celtics down to just five points for the rest of the game; and the Bucks would walk off the court with the win. It was the fourth straight win for the Bucks and they are currently the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference Playoff race.

The Baltimore Ravens are, what many sports enthusiasts would call, infants in the NFL. The originated in Cleveland, and after much debate, Art Modell finally got his wish of moving them to Baltimore. They did not have their own stadium, at first, so they plated in Memorial Stadium, home of the Colts. It only took two years for their stadium to be ready; although, the name of the stadium changed numerous times over the next ten years (it took some time for the team to settle in).

I cannot for the life of me think of a NBA coach who resigns from then gets fired by the same franchise in the same season, yet it actually happened as on Tuesday, the Associated Press is reporting that the Los Angeles Clippers have fired coach-turned-general manager Mike Dunleavy.
His replacement for the remainder – presumably – will be assistant GM Neil Olshey.
Dunleavy had originally stepped down from the coaching postion to take over the general manager duties; according to a prepared statent by the franchise:

Shawn Marion recorded a double-double Monday night and the Dallas Mavericks shot 50% (48-96) from the floor as they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 125-112. T-Wolves big man Al Jefferson came back from a two game suspension and also had a double-double including a game high 36 points. However it was not enough to stop Dallas from getting their twelfth straight win. The Mavericks last lost to the Thunder in Oklahoma City on February 16. They now are in second place in the NBA Western Conference trailing only the reigning NBA Champs the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Cleveland Cavaliers took another step in their evolution Monday night when they proved they could beat an elite NBA team without their go-to player LeBron James being able to play. The San Antonio Spurs were also short staffed as they have lost starting point guard Tony Parker for the balance of the regular season. The Spurs would get a huge night from Manu Ginobili as he scored 38 points and 23 more from Parker’s replacement George Hill. However that still was not enough as the Cavaliers sent the Cleveland crowd home smiling after they would get the win 97-95.

Although the Eagles didn’t make a splash in free agency over the weekend, it seems their main goal right now is bringing back the players they want that are already in their system. After signing Leonard Weaver to a new deal on Friday, the Eagles have now signed Jason Avant to a 5-year contract.
Avant typically doesn’t find himself in the spotlight because of the explosive plays of DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin; however, anyone that follows this team knows it was important for the Eagles to bring him back. Avant has clutch hands and always seems to get open on third downs and in the middle of the field.

It is being reported that the Cleveland Browns have acquired quarterback Seneca Wallace from the Seattle Seahawks. This should really be no surprise to any football fan. Wallace was drafted by current Browns G.M. Mike Holmgren when he was the head coach for the Seahawks.
This moves means either Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson are on their way out of Cleveland. Which ever one stays will more than likely be the starter with Wallace being their backup.
The pick is said to be an undisclosed pick in the 2011 draft. The Browns currently have 11 picks in the upcoming draft.
